We have been huge fans but only started getting involved behind the scenes since its fifth anniversary last year when Katch, (the Communications Agency where Tricia works) got appointed to handle the public relations of the project. Contributing even in our tiny ways in making sure it exceeds expectations this 2017 is such an honor. Our hearts are overjoyed.

From goofing around behind the scenes to geeking out, we’ve shortlisted our favorite things at Comic Con’s sixth edition.

  • The line-up of celebrities. We met Falcon (Anthony Mackie) from Tim’s all-time favorite movie – Avengers; Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) from the mammoth series Game of Thrones; Eugene (Josh McDermitt) from The Walking Dead, another series we’ve just started following; Greg Grunberg from Heroes and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, who commented that this Con is better than San Diego (yes!); WWE’s Kane, The Devil’s Favorite Demon; and more!!!
  • The organizers. Aside from being one of our favorite events of the year, this festival also has one of the easiest and happiest teams to work with. Hats off to the king of the Con, Ben and of course the marketing and comms heads, Arfie and Mel, and everyone who worked tirelessly to provide us such a memorable event!
  • The international, regional and local artists and exclusive merchandise. It’s overwhelming to see all these amazing talents come together at this event like artists who drew our favorite action heroes and Disney characters, and geniuses behind some notable films and enterprises. It’s also equally fascinating to see their masterpieces. Fair warning – once you start buying anything at the Con, it’s hard to stop! 😉
  • The outdoor zone. We frequented this area for obvious reasons – it’s got the main stage, celebrity and media lounges, and F&B! We love most of the selection – Baskin Robbins, NKD Pizza, Sumo Sushi, Shelbi, Itchy Burger, and the crepe place (we forgot the name but super yummy!)
  • The community. Honestly, there is no beating this. Seeing guests genuinely having fun, going out to express themselves and showcase their creativity, meeting and learning from their heroes and like-minded people… it’s so uplifting to be around that energy.

We hope you didn’t miss it this year, but if you did… the next edition is scheduled on April 5 to 7, 2018. See you there!
